If you do not know Lombok well, knowing where to stay in Lombok can be confusing.
If you prefer to visit the main attractions of Lombok Island as the beautiful Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfalls, the incredible Gili Islands (Gili Air, Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan), mighty Mount Rinjani or if you prefer to play golf, we would recommend staying in the North of Lombok.
Especially the North-West of Lombok, facing the Gili islands – the location of The Lombok Lodge – is the more upscale resort area of the island, where 5-star resorts, private beaches and golf courses dominate the landscape.
The main activities in the South are enjoying the beach and the sun, and taking advantage of some of the best surfing waves you will find in Indonesia.
For travelers who prefer to combine the North & the South of Lombok, we are happy to recommend our exclusive ‘North & South’ Lombok Accommodation Package in which you will combine the beautiful North of Lombok with the South of Lombok. In the Northern part of Lombok we are lucky to have a rainy season and not a monsoon season, so an occasional short afternoon or evening downpour is what we usually get during our rainy season of November – February.
