DAY 1
Senaru Village – Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m)
Early Morning Pick up at The Lombok Lodge Hotel / The Lombok Lodge Private Villa Estate
The trekking will begin on 07:30-08:00 am after registering at the Mount Rinjani Trekking Centre.Crater Rim Rinjani
During the first 30 minutes we will walk in the open pass a Mount Rinjani coffee plantation, bamboo, and many other plantations that belong to the local Lombok people of Senaru village.
We will take a short 10-15 minute break as soon as we reach the gate of the Mount Rinjani tropical rain forest. Then we can continue trekking through the forest where we will walk in the humid temperatures. You will find many big trees and sounds of animals such as from black or brown monkeys.
It can take up to 3 hours of walking to reach POS-2 MONTONG SATAS (1,500 m) where we can take another break and rest. You will be served with soft drinks, crackers, and fresh fruits such as bananas or pineapples.
After taking a break you will need another 2 hours trekking to reach POS-3 MONDOKAN LOKAK (2,000 m). We will have * lunch here including snacks and fresh fruits. Be aware that here you can find a lot of brown monkeys which are able to steal your unattended small belongings After lunch we will continue trekking from the tropical rain forest to the savanna with very beautiful scenery.
Take a short break at CEMARA LIMA and then continue trekking to Pelawangan 1, Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m) for about an hour with steep cobbled streets *.
We will set up a camp and stay over night with dinner provided.
You will get * amazing views and moments such as:
Spectacular sunset over the 3 Gili Islands and Mount Agung in Bali
Sun rise from the valley of Mount Sanggka Reyang
Smoke coming out of the new volcano in the middle of Segara Anak lake
Mount Rinjani summit
Camping & Good sleep under the stars
DAY 2
Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m) – Segara Anak Lake (2,008 m) – Hot Springs – Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639 m)
After breakfast and enjoying the sunrise, we will go down to Segara Anak lake, walking time approximately 2 hours.
The route is quite steep down and slippery, you have to be careful and follow the instruction from your trekking guide and stay close with him or the porters.
You will find the beautiful scenery of the small volcano which located in front of your view.
You can relax and take a break when you get to Segara Anak lake with hot spring just 10 minute walk from the lake.
The water of this hot springs contain Sulphur which believed able to cure any of skin illness.
Lunch will be provides beside the Segara Anak lake.
After lunch and take a rest, we shall continue trekking to Sembalun Crater Rim which can be reach in about 3 hours.
We will spend a night on the Sembalun Crater Rim.
Here you will enjoy the owesome views such as sunrise and sunset, Segara Anak lake, and even you can see most of north Lombok island.
DAY 3
Sembalun Crater Rim (2.639 m) – Rinjani Summit (3.726 m) – Sembalun Village (1,O51 m)
We will wake up at 02:30 AM and have a light breakfast.
After have a breakfast we will strat trekking to the Rinjani Summit.
It is about 3 hours 30 minutes trekking time.
The 1st stage is a moderate climb for 2 hours, the 2nd stage is a fairly easy long trekking. The last hour is very steep and quite difficult.
We are expecting to see the sunrise from the Summit of Mount Rinjani, which you can see all of Lombok island, Bali, Mountain Tambora in Sumbawa and Segara Anak lake.
After sunrise we will go back to the Sembalun Crater Rim and have breakfast.
After breakfast and have a rest, we will continue trekking to Sembalun village with average walking time in 4-5 hours.
Lunch will be provided at POS-3 or POS-2 before we arrives to Sembalun Village.
Our car will be ready to drive you to pick up the rest of your luggages and go to airport or your next destination in Lombok island.
