#SURFING GILI TRAWANGAN
Gili Trawangan, a hidden gem off Lombok’s northern coast, is known for its diving, snorkeling, fishing, and, of course, surfing. The waves here can be finicky, but when they break, expect a fast, right reef break with thrilling barrel sections. Located on the southwestern tip of the island, the best surf happens from January to June. Even when the waves aren’t perfect, the island offers secluded snorkeling spots, stunning sunsets, and a true desert island vibe.

#SURFING GILI AIR
Gili Air remains a relatively unexplored surfing spot, providing an authentic Southeast Asian experience. With fewer crowds and friendly locals, it’s a must-visit before it becomes the next Bali. The reef break on the southern tip offers short, square barrels, especially during big SW swells and high tides. While the conditions can be tricky, the rewards are worth it for those who make the effort.

Senggigi is perfect for surfers of all levels, offering private lessons, surf camp packages, and surf trips around Lombok. #SOUTH LOMBOK SURF SPOTS
#TANJUNG AAN
Located 15 minutes east of Kuta, Tanjung Aan is a stunning beach with a long, A-frame wave perfect for all levels. On smaller days, beginners and longboarders will enjoy long, fun rides, while on bigger days, the wave becomes more powerful and challenging. The best time to surf here is during the rainy season on a mid to high tide.

#SELONG BELANAK
Just 30 minutes west of Kuta, Selong Belanak is a beginner’s paradise with a long, white sandy beach and a gentle beach break. Ideal for first-time surfers, this spot offers shallow, sandy bottoms, making it less intimidating than a reef break. Surf here all year round, especially during mid-tide with a 3-5 ft swell.
